Championship Shows in the UK are very big affairs with several thousand dogs taking part over three or four days .Dogs compete first against others of their own breed, then the best go on to compete against other breeds in their group - terrier, gundog, hound, toy, working, pastoral or utility. There are several different group competitions: the main group for all Best of Breeds, Best Puppy, Best Junior and Best Beginner. This last is very important because it gives handlers who are new to the show ring the experience of being in groiup competition - it's a big ring that can be a bit scary for both dogs and handlers!

At East of England this year, Jen and Reni (Placido Proper Player of Bleuetopia) won the Terrier Beginner Group. We are very proud of them!
