Out in the field

Hard at work

The Czech Terrier is a manufactured breed, created with three distinct purposes in mind; to be an equable and loving family pet, a successful show dog, and a working terrier. As a worker he has several different functions, but, in his homeland, is used chiefly for tracking the scent of wild boar. However his biddable and sociable nature makes him an excellent choice to join the beating line at a shoot.

Jen and Reni have been working hard all season, and Amanda and Gloria recently had their first day on a local shoot. It's great to see them proving that show dogs can be working dogs too!

R. Gloria joins the team for her first day on the beating line. She had a brilliant time, and is raring to go again.

This year we will be going to the Stalking Show for the first time - we are looking forward to being able to introduce the Cesky Terrier to lots of people,
