A Good Citizen

The Kennel Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme is open to all dogs, young or old, pedigree or crossbreed. Dogs do not need to be registered with The Royal Kennel Club to take part.

The scheme promotes responsible dog ownership by teaching owners to train their dog for everyday life situations through four award levels - Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

The Bronze award level should be within the reach of all dogs with just a little training; the Silver needs a bit more work by both dog and handler, whilst the Gold does need some hard work to reach the required level.

Erb Lovu zdar, the first Cesky Terrier to come to the UK, was also the first to win the Good Citizen award - not long after it had been introduced, and since then many others have gone through the scheme.

Several Cesky Terriers have attained the Gold standard, including Ridley Javor and Ridley Ulrika, as well as both of Arsha's parents. At just 13 months old, she has proved that she has brains as well as beauty and passed her Bronze test - now onward towards Silver and Gold!

Not content with her success on Saturday, Arsha finished a very successful weekend by going to Gloucester & District CS show where she was not only BAVNSC Terrier, but also took the Group 2 spot as well.
