Gloria Kvitko
Gloria Kvitko
Born: 14 June 2001
Sire: Lotr Kvitko
Dam: Palava Ginoch's Kvitko
Pedigree
Every time I went to stay with Jitka I asked if Gloria could come home with me. The answer was always a very firm "No!"
Then, in 2007, Jitka came to Crufts and saw a dog..... Woodstrode Artus was not a big winner, he was a much loved pet dog who had been to his local championship show where he qualified for Crufts, and his owners thought it would be rather fun to take him there. Jitka knew nothing of his breeding, but said immediately, "That is the dog for Gloria." In fact, he was sired by Stanislav Kvitko and out of a Ridley bitch who was, incidentally, named Jitka!
There was absolutely no way that Lachlan and Diana would sell their beloved Archie, so I finally got my wish and Gloria came to the UK in May 2007. In August Gloria whelped the Ridley 'O' litter. Obrazek went back to Jitka and in time he sired Emily Day Break, dam of the Ridley 'U' litter and the Irish Ridley 'A' litter.
Although she had been BIS at the Czech club show, before coming to me, her show career started seriously in 2008 as a Veteran. She won the Veteran group at Darlington Championship show, as well as more that 25 BVIS awards at open shows, as well as making the Crufts Veteran class her own for three years running.
